The fine print
Terms of use
The deal between you and Bahrain Social Club, in plain English.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use bahrainsocialclub.com, become a member, join our Discord server, or come to anything we organise, online or in person. By doing any of those, you agree to these terms and to our code of conduct. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.
2. Who we are
Bahrain Social Club ("the club", "we", "us") is a social club based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. You can reach us at hello@bahrainsocialclub.com.
3. Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older to become a member, come to our events or join our Discord server.
- Membership is for people who live in Bahrain. People who don't live here yet can still sign up for updates and come along.
- You don't need to be a member to come to our events, activities or hangouts, or to join our Discord.
4. Membership
- Membership is free. There's no fee to join and no fee to stay a member.
- Membership doesn't oblige you to come to anything, and it doesn't give anyone special treatment at events.
- Please give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
- You can end your membership at any time by deleting your account, or by emailing us.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- We may refuse or end a membership if someone breaks these terms or the code of conduct.
5. Events and activities
- Our events are open to everyone 18 and over, member or not, unless an event post says otherwise (for example, limited spots, or a women only or men only event).
- Some activities cost money, such as court bookings, tickets or your own food and drinks. We'll always show the price upfront. Unless we say otherwise, you pay the venue or partner directly.
- Where spots are limited, they're given out as described in the event post.
- Plans can change or be cancelled, for example because of weather or a venue issue. We'll tell people as early as we can on our official channels.
6. Your safety and responsibility
- You take part in events and activities by choice. Some, like sports, beach days and water activities, involve physical activity and some risk. Know your limits and follow any safety instructions from us or the venue.
- You're responsible for your own belongings, your transport and your decisions, including anything you arrange with other people outside our events.
- Please read our safety guide. It's there to help.
7. Code of conduct
Everyone must follow our code of conduct at events, in the Discord and anywhere else they represent the club. If someone breaks it, we may give a warning, ask them to leave, or ban them from our events and the Discord, and we may involve the police where appropriate.
8. Partners and venues
Many events happen at venues run by independent businesses, including our partners. Their own rules and terms apply while you're there. We choose partners carefully, but we don't control their premises, staff, products or services. If something goes wrong at a venue, please tell us and we'll help where we can.
9. Photos and content
- We sometimes take photos and videos at events. We ask before anyone's face goes up, anyone wearing a no-photos sticker is left out, and we'll take down any photo of you the same day if you ask.
- If you agree to appear in our content, you allow us to use it on our website and social media to promote the club. You can withdraw that permission at any time, and we'll remove it from our channels.
- You're responsible for anything you post in our Discord or share about the club. Don't post photos or details of other people without their permission.
10. The Discord and other platforms
Our Discord server, Instagram and TikTok run on platforms owned by other companies, and their own terms apply when you use them. We moderate our own server and may remove messages or people to keep it safe and friendly.
11. Patron, sponsorship and donations
Patron membership, sponsorships, partnerships and any donations will have their own terms, which we'll share with you before you sign up or pay anything.
12. Using this website
- We work hard to keep this site accurate and running, but it's provided as is, and event details can change.
- Please don't misuse the site: no spam, no fake sign-ups, no automated scraping, and no attempts to break or hack it.
- We link to other websites, like Instagram and Discord. We're not responsible for their content.
13. Our name and brand
The Bahrain Social Club name, logo and designs belong to the club. Please don't use them to suggest you're us or that we're behind something we're not, and don't organise events in our name without our written permission.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited under the laws of Bahrain. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for the actions of other attendees, venues, partners or platforms. Our events are run by people doing their best, and we'll always try to put things right if something goes wrong.
15. Leaving, and being removed
You can stop being a member, leave the Discord or stop coming to events at any time. We can suspend or remove anyone who breaks these terms or the code of conduct, or whose behaviour puts others at risk.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the club grows. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll announce bigger changes on our channels. If you keep taking part after a change, you accept the new terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute.
